In a relaxing environment, Dr. Alexie Aguil works directly with you to reveal your true radiance. Our cosmetic dentistry services renew your teeth’s health, beauty, and function to give you the smile you’ve always wanted. One of the most popular cosmetic dental process options we offer at Exquisite Dentistry is porcelain veneers. Veneers are a versatile cosmetic process that can be used to address various cosmetic imperfections, including chipped, crooked, and discolored teeth. In as little as three visits, Exquisite Dentistry can evaluate your smile, take impressions of your bite, and fit you with gorgeous veneers and crowns that enhance the natural beauty of your smile.
Why Choose Dental Veneers?
A veneer is a thin piece of tooth replacement material made up of either porcelain or a composite material that is placed over the front of teeth to improve their appearance. At Exquisite Dentistry, we prefer to use the highest quality porcelain for our dental veneers in order to create the most natural-looking and beautiful results.
Porcelain veneers are used for a variety of reasons. If a crown is not necessary, porcelain veneers can be used to conceal chipped, strangely shaped, crooked or discolored teeth. Veneers can be also be used to improve the uniformity of the teeth instead of braces, or close the gaps between teeth.
Dental Veneer Process Details
The veneer process often takes several visits, depending on the scope of the process required. The first step is to have a dental consultation with Dr. Aguil to evaluate your oral health and discuss your needs and goals. If the dentist thinks a veneer is the best option for your teeth, then another dental appointment will be made to take impressions, which will be sent to a professional ceramist to create a model of what your unique veneers will look like. We use the premier lab on the West Coast where Dr. Aguil and his ceramist co-create the ideal look and feel of natural teeth. Local anesthesia is required for the veneer preparation process since a small portion of the tooth is buffed off. This will allow your dentist to match the veneer to the natural color and shape of the surrounding teeth. We use the thinnest porcelain veneer material to minimize the reduction of the natural tooth. Your dentist will place temporary restorations until the final veneers are completed. During this time, you’ll be examining the look, feel and function of these veneers. Modifications can be made during this time to make certain the final veneers are exactly what you want.
When the porcelain veneers are ready, the dentist will test it on your tooth to make sure the shape fits correctly and the color is perfect. The color of the tooth can be modified to match surrounding teeth. After you and Dr. Aguil are happy with the color, shape and new look of your smile, the porcelain veneer is permanently bonded in place.
